When you’re hungry, eat.
-If you think you’re hungry have a glass of water first, you might actually just be thirsty.
-If you are ACTUALLY hungry eat REAL food.
When you’re full, stop eating.
-Read up on SERVING SIZES.
-You DO NOT have to finish the food on your plate. Left overs are awesome.
-Wait 5 minutes before getting seconds. Your body needs time to let your brain know you’re actually full.
When you’re not hungry, don’t eat.
-Find other things to do when you’re bored.
-If you’re snacking put whatever you’re eating in a bowl instead of eating it straight out of the container.
* STOP drinking soda. Remember fruit juice is awesome but high in sugar. And water is your best friend.
* Don’t stress* about what you’re eating. If not everything you eat is “healthy” just be aware of what you’re eating. It’s not the end of the world if you fulfill cravings just NOT ALL THE TIME.
* STRESS. IS. BAD.
* Be active. Stand don’t sit. Park in the back of a parking lot to get in some extra walking. Take the stairs. Nobody said you need to hit the gym hardcore EVERY day. (I’m not saying don’t exercise at all. ;D)
Over the past 6 months I’ve gradually worked this into my life and I’ve gone from almost 160 lbs to 128 and from a size 8/10 to a size 2/4.
